CAPT Steve diving on the wreck of the “City of Washington” in Key Largo.
CAPT Steve’s annual birthday diving trip to the Florida Keys happens the week of February 19 - 26! Again next year, we will be offering diving &/or instruction to anyone who would like to come along!
For those of you who still need your open water qualification dives, this would be a great time to get them done in warm, clear water before the summer diving season starts in Connecticut. “Advanced Adventure” certification will also be available- an excellent opportunity to see some of the famous deeper wrecks, including the USCGC Duane and the Eagle, to experience the wonder of a night dive, and to learn additional advanced diving techniques. NITROX certification can be earned as well, to double your bottom time. But, you don’t have to take a course in order to dive with us in Key Largo!
The average water temperature in Key Largo in February is 70-75 degrees. CLICK HERE for current conditions. Dive site depths range from 15’ to 110’ and the visibility can range from 30’ to 100+’. Most dive sites are only a short boat ride away from the dock. So not only would you be enjoying a great holiday in the Florida sun, you could be completing your certifications with your original instructor - and not have to go through any referral process.
Great airfares to Miami are available from aa.com. We will be staying at Marina Del Mar and have negotiated deeply discounted rates for you, too! CLICK HERE for photos of Marina Del Mar. Call or email now for instructions on how to book your room at these special rates! For more photos and dive site information CLICK HERE.
