Why NITROX?
Three reasons: bottom time, bottom time and bottom time. The use of Enriched Air NITROX (EANx) can greatly extend the No-Decompression Limits for sport diving to DOUBLE OR MORE.
What is NITROX?
Enriched Air NITROX (EANx) is a breathing mixture of highly filtered air enriched with oxygen. EAN32 (32% O2) and EAN36 (36% O2) are two standard mixes, readily available at dive shops and resorts everywhere.
What do I have to do to dive with NITROX?
NITROX SCUBA diving is safe, affordable and requires a modest amount of training. In order to earn a NITROX specialty certification, you will participate in a classroom session and test your knowledge on a written exam. Finally, you will apply your skills during two open water qualification dives. Upon completion, you will receive a certification card that identifies you as a trained NITROX diver, allowing you to dive NITROX anywhere in the world!
